Living in the Bergmannkiez — the Kreuzberg people picture
Mittenwalder Straße sits in the Bergmannkiez, the quieter and more residential side of Kreuzberg: a market hall, second-hand shops, small cafés, and Viktoriapark with what may be the best rooftop view in the city.
You are well connected on the U6 and U7, which puts HU in Mitte and TU in Charlottenburg both within reach without complicated changes. Tempelhofer Feld — Berlin's former airport, now a park the size of a district — is a short walk away.
This is the neighbourhood a lot of people have in mind when they decide to come to Berlin. Living here means being part of it rather than visiting on weekends.
Your own room in a shared flat
A furnished private room with a bed, desk, chair, wardrobe and curtains — everything you need from day one. Kitchen and bathroom are shared with your flatmates, which is also the fastest way to meet people when you arrive in a new city.
All-inclusive rent
Your monthly rent covers everything: high-speed fibre internet, heating, electricity, water — and your Anmeldung. No separate utility bills, no year-end settlement. The only cost on top is the German broadcasting fee (Rundfunkbeitrag), a statutory fee charged per apartment, which flatmates share.
Anmeldung included
We provide the landlord confirmation you need to register your address in Berlin. For most international students this is the hardest part of arriving — with us it comes with the room.
What you need to apply
Proof of enrolment or matriculation certificate, passport or ID card, and a visa if you are not an EU citizen. You do not need any of these to send an enquiry — only once you apply for a specific room.
Deposit and terms
Deposit is two months' rent. Minimum stay is six months. Available from 1 October 2026. Students only.
