Living in Wedding — close to BHT, and the neighbourhood everyone talks about
Wedding has been called Berlin's next big thing for a while now, and this time it is holding up: the area around Leopoldplatz and the Panke has filled up with small cafés, studios and bars, while rents have stayed more reasonable than in the districts to the south.
BHT Berlin — the Berlin University of Applied Sciences — is right here, and Charité's Virchow campus is a few minutes away. The U6 and U9 take you to Mitte and Friedrichstraße directly. Plenty of green along the Panke and in Humboldthain.
Well connected, still affordable, and a neighbourhood that is genuinely changing rather than already finished.
Your own room in a shared flat
A furnished private room with a bed, desk, chair, wardrobe and curtains — everything you need from day one. Kitchen and bathroom are shared with your flatmates, which is also the fastest way to meet people when you arrive in a new city.
All-inclusive rent
Your monthly rent covers everything: high-speed fibre internet, heating, electricity, water — and your Anmeldung. No separate utility bills, no year-end settlement. The only cost on top is the German broadcasting fee (Rundfunkbeitrag), a statutory fee charged per apartment, which flatmates share.
Anmeldung included
We provide the landlord confirmation you need to register your address in Berlin. For most international students this is the hardest part of arriving — with us it comes with the room.
What you need to apply
Proof of enrolment or matriculation certificate, passport or ID card, and a visa if you are not an EU citizen. You do not need any of these to send an enquiry — only once you apply for a specific room.
Deposit and terms
Deposit is two months' rent. Minimum stay is six months. Available from 1 October 2026. Students only.
