Living in Schöneweide — right next to HTW Berlin
Niederschöneweide sits along the Spree in the south-east of the city, and it has one decisive advantage: HTW Berlin's Wilhelminenhof campus is just across the water. Most residents walk or take a single tram stop. No commute before a morning lecture.
S-Bahn Schöneweide connects you to the centre and to Ostkreuz, trams run past the door, and supermarkets, bakeries and cafés are all within walking distance. The riverside is five minutes away.
Rents here are among the lowest we offer — the sensible choice if you would rather spend your budget on something other than housing.
Your own room in a shared flat
A furnished private room with a bed, desk, chair, wardrobe and curtains — everything you need from day one. Kitchen and bathroom are shared with your flatmates, which is also the fastest way to meet people when you arrive in a new city.
All-inclusive rent
Your monthly rent covers everything: high-speed fibre internet, heating, electricity, water — and your Anmeldung. No separate utility bills, no year-end settlement. The only cost on top is the German broadcasting fee (Rundfunkbeitrag), a statutory fee charged per apartment, which flatmates share.
Anmeldung included
We provide the landlord confirmation you need to register your address in Berlin. For most international students this is the hardest part of arriving — with us it comes with the room.
What you need to apply
Proof of enrolment or matriculation certificate, passport or ID card, and a visa if you are not an EU citizen. You do not need any of these to send an enquiry — only once you apply for a specific room.
Deposit and terms
Deposit is two months' rent. Minimum stay is six months. Available from 1 October 2026. Students only.
